Ruud Wetzels is an Assistant Professor of Marketing and Innovation Management at the Department of Business Administration (Marketing Group), Nijmegen School of Management at Radboud University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He is close to receiving his PhD from the School of Business and Economics, Maastricht University, Maastricht, The Netherlands on the topic of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in marketing.
Ruud’s research interests focus on understanding how to use novel technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning, data mining, social robotics, virtual reality (VR) and eye-tracking) to enhance, better understand, and study customer experiences. Adopting a responsible organization perspective, Ruud aims to bring together the worlds of technology and sustainability in a customer experience context. His early work appeared in the Journal of Service Research and the Journal of Services Marketing.
In terms to teaching, Ruud currently delivers master’s level courses on Advanced Research Methods, Digital Marketing, Marketing Performance, and Methodology in Marketing and Strategic Management Research as well as Qualitative Research Methods at the bachelor level.
