Hanif Widyanto is a junior lecturer/Ph.D. researcher at the Nijmegen School of Management (NSM), Radboud University Nijmegen. His research mainly investigates open innovation, ideation contests, digital marketing, adoption of innovation, fintech, entrepreneurship, and access to funding for small businesses. Prior to joining NSM, as a researcher/lecturer at President University in Indonesia, he had secured research grants totaling more than IDR 1 billion (~USD70,000). Since 2018, he has published more than a dozen articles in various academic journals and proceedings, including the Journal of Science and Technology Policy Management, Journal of Islamic Marketing, ASEAN Marketing Journal, among many others.
Before becoming an academic, he had spent nearly a decade working in various positions in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. He earned his B.Sc. from President University and MBA from the University of Indonesia (UI) with cum laude honours.
