Agricultural systems heavily depend on the application of plant-protection products (PPPs), commonly known as pesticides, to ensure optimal productivity and safeguard crop quality. Consequently, these pesticides are ubiquitous in the environment, leading to human exposure in varying amounts through different pathways. Despite the potential risk to human health associated with pesticide exposure, the precise toxicokinetics remain uncertain. My research is dedicated to establishing physiologically-based toxicokinetic (PBTK) models, which aim to define the exposure of humans to pesticides by examining both individual and population-level data.
