Escaping (Un)Democratic Deadlock in the EU

MA students in the course on “Politicization in the EU Arena” (led by dr. Reinout van der Veer and dr. Saskia Ruth-Lovell) played a custom-made Educational Escape Room (EER) on deadlock in the EU. They were tasked with preparing a strategy for European Council President Charles Michel to ‘escape’ deadlock over EU sanctions on Russia. The EER was developed in collaboration with the University of Basel (CH) and the University of Freiburg (DE) as part of a joint EUCOR project.
