On Friday 4 November the Radboud Teachers Academy, the Department of Political Science and the Peitho center of expertise in rhetoric organized a set of workshops around the theme of societal polarization, specifically tailored to the needs of teachers of social studies in secondary education.

According to experts, the midterm elections in America would result in a significant gain for Republicans. But the battle for the majority in the House of Representatives and the Senate has not yet been decided. In fact, the Republicans have won less than they thought. Jutta Joachim, associate professor for global governance, has been appointed to the ISA/UNAI committee that is responsible for the collaboration of the International Studies Association with the United Nations Academic Impact Program.
