If you follow the  CB track, you can opt for: the IBC course CIW438 Global Corporate Communication, the CB course CIWM470 New Media Research Methods and CIWM471 Communication Practices in the Digital Society - If you follow  the IBC track, you can opt for: the CB course CIW414 Communicatie, gedrag en beïnvloeding, the CB course CIW411 Communicatie, identiteit en reputatie, the CB course CIWM470 New Media Research Methods and CIWM471 Communication Practices in the Digital Society 2. An elective in another Arts Faculty department at the RU 
You are free to opt for an elective offered elsewhere within the Arts Faculty. Some master programmes offer electives that CIS students can follow under all conditions; you can register for these courses yourself. Others may require you to fulfill certain prerequisites. Whether a course can be followed as an elective (with or without prerequisites) is usually mentioned in the online course description of the course. If this is not clear to you, however, check with the Examination Board of the programme that offers the course you want to follow to be sure what the conditions are and whether you can register and take part. Always obtain permission from your programme coordinator (IBC) to follow a particular course outside the CIS programme as an elective, as well as from the Examination Board of the programme that offers the course. 3. An elective in the department of Communication Studies (Faculty of Social Sciences) at the RU
If you follow any of the CIW master tracks, you can opt for one of the following electives offered by the department of Communication Studies: - Master programme Media en Beïnvloeding; CWM4021 Persuasion in entertainment media, CWM4020 Persuasion in the social context, CWM4022 Weerstand tegen beïnvloeding, CWM4023Innovaties in marketingcommunicatie. - Master programme Media, Nieuws en Journalistiek; CWM4029 Journalistiek en Samenleving in transitie; CWM4030 Nieuws als journalistiek product; CWM4031 De informatie-explosie, nieuwsconsumptie en nieuwsverwerkingCWM4032 Internet en sociale media in de journalistiek. Note: for the above courses at CW only limited places are available. To enrol you first have to send an email to the master coordinator of CW for admittance to the course.
