Admission requirements and exemption regulations
We are looking for students with a Bachelor's degree in English Language & Culture who specialized in American Studies. If you specialized in English you can apply if you had at least 40 ECs in courses related to American Studies. If you have a different academic background, you will need to have achieved 60 ECs in courses related to American Studies. You'll also need to demonstrate adequate English-language skills (based on a TOEFL of IELTS qualification).
Bachelor students get access to Master courses only if they have completed their BA-thesis and need to complete no more than 20 ECs from their pre-Master or Bachelor program. Students cannot embark on their Master's thesis until they have rounded off their entire BA program (or pre-Master). Bachelor students from outside the Radboud University will need to have completed their entire BA-program before enrollment.

The application procedure for international and Dutch students with a Dutch degree is different than the procedure for international and Dutch students with a foreign degree. Below you can find the procedures applicable to both groups.
Application procedure for international and Dutch students with a Dutch degree
Students who hold a Bachelor's degree obtained at an institution in the Netherlands may be admitted to the Master's program in North America Studies at Radboud University Nijmegen. The Examination Board will determine whether the previous education is sufficiently relevant to warrant admission. You need to apply at Studielink and contact the coordinator of the Master's program.
Application procedure for international and Dutch students with a foreign degree Students with a foreign degree need to fill in an online application form, print and sign it and send this to Radboud University with additional documents.
