Graduation - Examining Board

The Examination Board makes sure that the diplomas that are distributed during graduation day are based on a responsible and legitimate examination of knowledge, skills, and attitudes within the programme's aim. They check deviating grades and see whether the student's graduation is justified and deserved. The Education- and Examination Regulations (OER) (to be found here, under the tab "rules and guidelines" on the page of your Master's programme) are the guidelines for the Examination Board's judgment.

Exams and their procedure, as well as the assessment of assignments play an important role in the tasks of the Examination Board. The Examination Board appoints examiners, sees to a just and orderly course of examination and their inspection, counteracts fraud, decides upon the consequences for students who committed fraud, encourages and inspects the quality of examination, decides on the application of the OER, and determines whether or not special circumstances justify deviations from the rules and regulations. In addition, granting exemptions, approving admission to (a continuing) programme, and allowing students to participate in exams are also examples of the Examination Board's tasks. The Examination Board has put together their own procedure which can be found in the Examination Board's Rules and Regulations.

One of the Examination Board's important tasks is approving a chosen set of courses and assessing graduation requests.
