This PhD research concerns Sigmund Freud’s confrontation with the fetishist perversion throughout his work. Following the publication of his most important work on human sexuality in 1905, the Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality, Freud emphasized on fetishism as a phenomenon of great interest. Since then, Freud privileged fetishism as an investigative strategy until his last work in 1939.
