Workshop Wim Hof Method (WHM)

Do you want to learn how to deal with stress better, increase your resilience and optimize your health? Would you like to be less guided by obstructive thoughts and be able to focus better? Are you up for an adventure, do you want to feel alive and do you dare to step out of your comfort zone? Then this workshop may be suitable for you.

In this workshop you will learn the Wim Hof Method (WHM), which consists of a combination of breathing exercises, cold training and mindset / meditation. After following this workshop you will be able to practice the WHM at home in a safe, effective way.

What are you going to do?

The workshop roughly consists of three parts:
- A short theoretical part in which the operation of the WHM is explained.
- Intensive breathing exercises that optimally prepare you for taking an ice bath and, among other things, let you experience what it is like to be in a deep, relaxing, beneficial state.
- We conclude by taking an ice bath where you will of course be guided with care and attention.

After participating, there is also the option to join a winter swimming group in the area (for free).

Is this workshop something for me?

No prior knowledge is required for this workshop. After registration you will receive some tips on how you can practice cold training at home. But participation in this workshop (in a safe and pleasant way) is also possible without this preparation.

If you are pregnant, have epilepsy or heart problems, this workshop is unfortunately not suitable for you.

Location: We start in Villa Oud Heyendael (het PV-Gebouw), Rene Descartesdreef 21, Nijmegen.
Costs: PV -members € 65 - non-members € 89
Participants: 4-8
Teacher: The workshop is given by Katja Teunissen. She is a certified WHM trainer and also works as a study advisor and mindfulness trainer at the Faculty of Science.
