Erasmus+ Green Travel Support
If your scholarship application falls under the new Erasmus+ programme, you are eligible for Green Travel Support if you travel to your destination using a sustainable mode of transport. Examples of sustainable means of transport are: cycling, carpooling, the bus or the train. To qualify for Green Travel Support, you must use sustainable means of transport for most of your journey (outward and return).
Green Travel Support is available if your destination lies within 100 km to 4000 km travel distance. If you receive Green Travel Support, this replaces the standard travel allowance. Green Travel Support is a higher travel allowance than the standard travel allowance. Depending on the distance to your destination, Green Travel Support amounts to the following:
Between 100 and 499 KM |
210 EUR |
Between 500 and 1999 KM |
320 EUR |
Between 2000 and 2999 KM |
410 EUR |
Between 3000 and 3999 KM |
610 EUR |
Note: keep your travel tickets and invoices safe. You will need these to be eligible for Green Travel Support.
