Erasmus + study exchange and traineeship outside Europe

In exceptional cases, it is possible to receive an Erasmus+ scholarship for a destination outside of Europe. When this possibility arises, you will be contacted after you have applied for a stay abroad.

For this grant programme a minimum study period of 2 months and a maximum of 1 semester is applicable.  By mutual agreement it is also possible to do a traineeship outside Europe for a minimum period of 2 months.

Would you like to go to a destination outside of Europe, but no Erasmus+ scholarship is available? Then we advise you to apply for a Holland Scholarship or the Individual Travel Grant.

Scholarship amount

Students who are going on study exchange to one of the selected non-EU partners with Erasmus+, will receive:

• a monthly allowance €700
• a one-off reimbursement of travel expenses depending on destination, varying from €275 to €1500

Please note that this grant can not be combined with a Holland Scholarship, faculty grant or Individual Travel grant.
