Learning a language - how does it work at In’to?

Learning a language - how does it work at In'to?

Learning a language with us can be done in a variety of ways. Remotely (online), in-person in a group or a combination of the two. Sometimes the choice is yours, sometimes we make the choice for you.

What to expect from our group courses?

You can expect the following from all our courses regardless of format. The form is not what determines whether a course is fun or successful but the content!

  • Personal attention from an expert teacher
  • Group classes on fixed dates and times
  • Slides or whiteboard, in the online Virtual Classrooms too
  • Lots of interaction with your teacher and fellow course participants
  • Interactive work formats and online and offline assignments, tools and assessments
  • Homework and course material in the clear online learning environment

Courses in the Oneroom

For courses taught in our modern Oneroom classroom, you can choose where you want to participate: on campus or online from home. There are seats for participants and virtual seats for online participants in the classroom. The technical set-up of the room, with its various cameras, large screens and state-of-the-art sound technology, ensures that all participants are as visible and audible as possible. This allows for just as much interaction as in a regular classroom.

Our teachers are specially trained to teach in this high-tech space. For instance, they use modern interactive work formats so students can work on assignments together, quiz and chat online and on location (with their smartphones).

How does it work?
When you register, you indicate whether you want to participate physically on campus or online from your own location. Have you chosen to participate in person, but cannot make it to campus for one of the sessions? Then you can participate online too.

Online courses in the Virtual Classroom

Just like in a real session, a Virtual Classroom enables us to discuss theory, share knowledge and experiences, practise, give and receive feedback, and experiment. Learning a language in the Virtual Classroom is similar to taking a regular class, but of course, some things will be different. For example, it sometimes takes some getting used to the technique and some of the work formats and assignments are different.

Have a look at what you need to participate in our online courses.

Courses using the 5-3 model

For some courses, we use a combination of 5 online classes and 3 classes on location.

You follow the 5 online classes remotely using the virtual classroom. During the 3 classes on location, there will be plenty of interaction with fellow course participants and your teacher.

  • Sessions 1, 5 and 8 take place in Nijmegen.
  • Sessions 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 take place online.

Courses on location

When it comes to on-location group training, all classes take place in a course room at our campus in Nijmegen. This means you have the opportunity to meet fellow course participants in person. Here, you have lots of social interaction and get to work together on assignments in small groups.
