Payment and prices
I already paid, but I have not received my ticket yet. What should I do?
Sometimes there is a small error in our system and a ticket is not immediately available to send to you.
When the money is taken out of your bank account, you can be sure that you will receive a ticket. Sometimes it can take a few days before the ticket is sent to you. Registrations and payments are daily checked by us. When a ticket is not sent automatically upon payment, we will see this when we check the registrations. We will make sure you still receive the ticket.
In case you haven’t received your ticket within a few days, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
In case the activity takes place the same evening or the following evening, you can also contact us. When you can show us that the payment for a ticket is taken out of your account by iDeal, you can be sure there is a place for you in the lecture hall. At the registration desk there is a list of participants where your name is registered. Please go to the Radboud Reflects employee that handles the ticket check before the start of the program to show your payment.
How can I pay when I don’t have iDeal?
You can pay by transferring the amount to:

Please cite the (shortened) title of the lecture.
When the payment has been received, you will receive a ticket by e-mail.
Can I sign up without having to pay with iDeal?
If you cannot perform the payment via iDeal, please send an e-mail to email@example.com to sign up. We will process your registration by hand. You will receive an e-mail with our bank information so you can transfer the payment. If you sign up shortly before the activity, you can also pay at the registration desk. Please bring your card, as you cannot pay with cash.
Do I get a refund if I’m not able to participate due to a train delay or traffic jam for example?
Unfortunately it is not possible to give you a refund. The costs of this process are much higher than the amount due. This is also written down in the participant conditions.
Do I qualify to receive a reduced rate?
Students of Radboud University or HAN, but also students of other HBO, WO or MBO institutions have free access to all of our activities when they can show their student card.
Employees of Radboud University, the RadboudUMC and Alumni Benefit Card-holders receive a reduced rate when they can show the corresponding card.
Why are not all rates the same?
The normal prices for our activities are € 7,50. Employees of Radboud University, RadboudUMC and Alumni Benefit Card-holders pay € 5,-. Students and Radboud Reflects-subscribers have free access.
Activities in LUX can have different prices, since LUX has its own rates.
Activities in bigger sites, such as De Vereeniging, can have different prices because of the higher costs of this location.
Can you give someone a lecture as a gift?
Yes, that is possible. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for the possibilities.
The lecture I want to attend is sold out. Is there a waiting list?
We do not have a waiting list. You may have a chance to get a seat by checking in the evening before the activity starts. You will receive a waiting number. The person with the first number will be the first to receive a free seat. In this case you can join the activity. Please note: you can only pay by card.
How do I receive information about the upcoming programs when I don’t want to or cannot receive the newsletter? Can I receive it via mail?
We don’t send announcements by mail. Out activities are often displayed in the regional media and flyers are distributed among cultural locations in Nijmegen. It is advisable to ask someone who has access to e-mail to sign up for the newsletter.
Why do activities in LUX start at 20.00 hrs?
A regular program of LUX starts at 19.30 pm. However, to make space for all visitors in the LUX café, the programs of Radboud Reflects start half an hour later.
I am hard of hearing, is it possible to take this into account?
Of course that is possible. Please send an e-mail to email@example.com so we can help think about different possibilities for you to join an activity.
I am in a wheelchair, is there a place for wheelchair users?
Yes, we can make space for wheelchair users. Please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can take this into account at the evening of the activity.
Why is the subscription from 1 January until 31 December?
This is practical in terms of administration, because then extending the subscription will only happen on one occasion.
How does your program come about?
Our program has multiple ways in which it comes about. We schedule the themes ourselves or we receive requests for collaborations of multiple organisations within Radboud University or outside of Radboud University.
Are there reports, videos and podcasts for all activities?
When speakers have given permission to record their presentation, we will make a video and/or podcast. Only the presentation and the conversation with the moderator will be recorded, the questions from the public are not recorded because of privacy issues.
A report will be written of every activity. This is usually in Dutch. Also English programs are written in Dutch. Sometimes master students of Philosophy write an English report. When this is alright, we will put it on our website.
We want to reach the people who did not join the live activity, so we record the activities for videos and podcasts and write the reports. We want our content to reach as many people as possible, so sharing is appreciated!
I want to interview a speaker. Is this possible?

Can I park my car near the Collegezalencomplex?
The parking lot in front of the Collegezalencomplex is P6, on the Heyendaalseweg, across from the Erasmus building, the highest building of the campus. From the parking lot it is a five minute walk to the Collegezalencomplex. You can see the directions by car or public transport here. There are no other parking lots near the Collegezalencomplex. However, there are more than enough bicycle sheds and the bus stops in front of the building.
Why can I only order tickets until 15 pm when an activity takes place in LUX?
We let LUX know how many tickets are still available at 15:00 hrs so they can sell the remaining tickets via their own register. You can still buy tickets for the activity, when it is not sold out, via LUX.
