Experimental garden

The experimental garden is part of the Institute for Water and Wetland Reasearch (IWWR). Examples of research that can be performed in this modern greenhouse complex are research on the effect of climate change on plants, research on pollination by insects and even GMO research.Experimental Garden

De facility has eight advanced greenhouse rooms, six climate chambers where the environment can be adjusted to specific research needs, netting rooms and an outdoor experimental field of 7000m2. Furthermore, the experimental garden has a unique rootlab available (Phytotron) where root growth can be studied non-invasively. Only a few other comparable facilities exist in the world.
