Prof. Patrick Thaddeus Jackson
Patrick Thaddeus Jackson is Professor of International Studies in the School of International Service at American University in Washington, DC. He is also a Visiting Professor at Aberystwyth University, Wales. He has previously taught at Columbia University and New York University. He is the Series Editor for the University of Michigan book series Configurations: Critical Studies of World Politics. His book The Conductof Inquiry in International Relations (second edition, 2016) received the Best Book of the Year award from the Theory Section of the International Studies Association, and the Yale H. Ferguson Award from the ISA- Northeast. He is working on a book about explanation, and a book about Max Weber. With Daniel H. Nexon, he co-hosts the “Whiskey and International Relations Theory” podcast.
