Bareerah Hafeez Hoorani
Bareerah Hafeez Hoorani is an Assistant Professor of Qualitative empirical methods at the Nijmegen School of Management (Radboud University) and is currently working with the Research Methodology group. Her methodological work focuses on improving qualitative methods, in particular case study research, by addressing important research considerations such as rigor, case study design, selection strategies, theorizing and the role of time. Her research has appeared in reputable journals (e.g., Journal of World Business, Scientometrics, Journal of Informetrics, and Plos ONE); as well as reputable conferences (e.g., Academy of management meeting, European Academy of Management and British Academy of Management).
She has also co-authored a book on qualitative case study research, which has been published by Cambridge University Press; along with an upcoming book on methodological challenges for addressing grand challenges, which is expected to be published in 2024 by Edward Elgar. Her work on qualitative case study research has also received British Academy of Management best full paper awards in 2018 and 2021. Apart from her research, Bareerah has also co-taught courses on qualitative cases studies for Doctoral researchers at the Swiss Summer School in Social Science Methods 2019, and at the Fashion Communication Conference 2019 (Switzerland). She did her PhD on Research Methods at Università della Svizzera (Switzerland) and graduated summa cum laude.
