Petro Tolochko

Petro Tolochko is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna. In his PhD thesis, he tried to understand how to computationally measure (structural) text complexity, and devise new methods for it. His interests revolve around computational social science and computational methodology, including text-as-data approaches, social network analysis, Bayesian statistics, etc. Currently, as part of HORIZON 2020 Project ySKILLS, he is working on ways to analyse multiple nested social networks in a hierarchical modelling scenario, and, as part of HORIZON 2020 Project POLARVIS, on the polarisation and spread of climate activism information online.
He has experience with teaching statistics, research design, a text-as-data courses.
