Research context and responsibilities
The research is initiated and conducted by dr. Tetty Havinga. Dr. Havinga is an Associate professor in Sociology of law at the Law Faculty of the Radboud University (Nijmegen, the Netherlands). The survey is funded by the Radboud University and is part of an ongoing interest of the principal researcher in food safety governance (by government and industry) from a public interest perspective. Recently, dr. Havinga co-edited two publications on public-private food governance collaboration: a special issue of the European Journal of Risk Regulation (2015, 4) and Hybridization of food governance (Edward Elgar 2017).
The aim of the research is to gain an insight into what is going on and to publish about these developments in scientific journals and books. The report of the main results will be made available to the respondents and presented to the G2G working group and meeting.
The questionnaire has been developed in consultation with the intergovernmental G2G working group. However, it is the researcher that is responsible for the research design, the questionnaire, the analysis and the publication of the results. It is hoped that the research and publications will be of use for actors in the field.
