About the posthuman fashion of Iris van Herpen

3D printing technologies are among the new developments in fashion design. The Dutch designer Iris van Herpen is one of the forerunners of 3D printing in fashion design. In a recent article published in the research journal Fashion TheoryAnneke Smelik - professor of Visual Culture at the Radboud University Nijmegen – provides background information to the fashion house of Iris van Herpen in Amsterdam, gives insight into her practice of designing, and interprets her work within the context of critical posthumanism.
