Completed projects
The Nederlandsche Heidemaatschappij (English: Association for Wasteland Redevelopment) was founded in 1888 as an association to promote the reclamation and cultivation of poor soils in the Netherlands. In the twentieth century, the association grew into an engineering company and the organisation became active as an executor of large-scale employment creation projects, also during the Second World War and Reconstruction. This eventful period in the history of the Nederlandsche Heidemaatschappij is central to this research project.
