Research RSCR

To understand the dynamics of societal phenomena and processes, we examine themes from a historical perspective within single societies, in a comparative perspective across different societies and moreover, from a historical perspective in different societies.

Scholars from the RadboudSCR focus on multidisciplinary and comparative research questions to describe and explain developments in inequality, cohesion and modernization in both Western and non-Western societies. Various theoretical approaches, research designs, data collections and analytical strategies constitute complementary aspects of this comparative research framework.
