Migrant Workers in the Frontline (Migranten in de frontlinie) is an interdisciplinary research project funded by ZonMW/NWO that studied the effects of COVID-19 measures on irregular and EU labour migrants working in crucial sectors in the Dutch-German border region.
The project was initiated by members of RUNOMI and the Centre for Migration Law. Migrant Workers in the Frontline ran until spring 2022 and is led by Prof. dr. Tesseltje de Lange and Dr. Pascal Beckers. I was involved in this project as a junior researcher / phd student.
2019: Entrepreneurial Migrants and Work: What Works?
One year research project funded by Instituut GAK in which legal issues and experience with access to (self) employment for migrants arriving in the Netherlands through three channels (humanitarian, family or economic) today and in the past (giving us the experience of second generation as well) were studied. I was involved in this project as a peer researcher.
