Radboud University helps to build an artificial cellThe Dutch research consortium BaSyc is taking up the challenge of building an artificial cell. To that end, it received 18.8 million Euro from the NWO Gravitation Program. TU Delft is leading the consortium. Professor Wilhelm Huck, Physical Organic Chemistry, Radboud University is one of the six main applicants: “Understanding how non-living matter maintains a living cell will generate huge intellectual, scientific and technological returns."

The European project RRI-Practice, developed in the context of the H2020 programme Science with and for Society has now entered the stage of Grant Agreement preparation. The main aim of RRI-Practice is to analyse RRI related discourses and pathways to implementation, including barriers and drivers, in 24 research conducting and research funding organisations, in 13 European and non-European countries, in order to identify, understand, disseminate and promote RRI implementation best practices that can be scaled up at European and global levels. Dr. Luca Consoli (ISIS) is one of the Work-package leaders of RRI-Practice.
