HIGH Tech Discovery Route (Dutch Technology Week)

We look back on a successfull first edition of the Dutch Technology Week - Nijmegen edition. Visitors could see, feel and experience how promising and challenging it is to work on discoveries that change the world.

Programme DTW2019 - Radboud University

In the Huygens Building at Radboud University, you can take part in multiple exciting demos. Isolate DNA, explore the stars, program a robot, taste some nitrogen ice cream, print your own pancake or do some Virtual Reality Archery: the possibilities are (almost) endless. HAN University of Applied Sciences has a demo of how to produce oil using paper waste.

You can also take a tour of the NMR labs, the unique facility HFML/FELIX and its strong magnets and self-built free electron lasers, or the greenhouses. Or have a look in the labs of Molecular Sciences in which students learn to how safely navigate hazardous materials. You can also attend lectures on how new technologies impact our climate and biodiversity, storing information using molecular machines, whether robots are taking over the world, avatars, artificial intelligence, and saving Dutch plant species.

Programme Novio Tech Campus
The Novio Tech Campus introduces you to innovative Health and High Tech companies and initiatives in Nijmegen. In Building M you can visit the High Tech Market, with demos from Ampleon, Novioscan, pinkRF, MACOM, Microbit, and many others. There will be drones from Blue Jays flying around, there is a LEGO Mindstorm, and you will learn about the history of the campus in the Novio Experience Museum. Every hour guided tours with product demos will start, by companies such as NXP, Sencio, and Nexperia. In the building of EPR you can take a look at the High Tech kitchen: catch a glimpse of the best creative and intelligent solutions in the factory that connects people, tools, and data systems.
