Mission and vision
The mission of the Interdisciplinary Research Platform (IRP) is to stimulate and strengthen innovative high impact fundamental and applied interdisciplinary research across research institutes at the Faculty of Science.
The IRP aims to bring together outstanding researchers from the six different research institutes at the Faculty of Science to collaborate across the boundaries of institutes and with industrial and societal stakeholders to solve complex research problems, create significant impact and build an innovative interdisciplinary research environment.
The IRP Management Board consists of Prof. dr. Richard van Wezel (Vice Dean of Research, Faculty of Science) and four core members with specialisation in interdisciplinary research:
- Bert Kappen (Machine learning in natural sciences)
- Jeroen Jansen (Green information technology)
- Michiel Vermeulen (Experimental laboratories in life sciences)
- Isabel Rijk (Radboud Innovation Science)
