Microscopy and imaging

Advanced microscopical techniques enable visualization and imaging of a broad range of biological processes and features in tissues and cells. We have different types of microscopical applications, either in our own facility or via the General Instrumentation department of the Faculty of Science. External groups can also apply to use our microscopes and get benefit from technical assistance.

  • Light microscopy
  • Confocal microscopy
  • Digital light sheet microscopy
  • Scanning and transmission electron microscopy (including the necessary equipment for material preparation, such as microtomes and freeze etching systems)
