Research
Katrin is a PhD candidate at the Sensorimotor lab. Her PhD project focuses on motor variability and motor learning in the healthy and Alzheimer's dementia patients. She is supervised by Pieter Medendorp, Leonie Oostwoud Wijdenes and Robert van Beers.
Before starting her PhD, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Tartu.
After that she did a research internship at the Rehabilitation department of RadboudUMC. She studied the startle reflex in first trial movements and in cerebellar ataxia patients. She was supervised by Jorik Nonnekes and Vivian Weerdesteyn.
Thereafter, she did a (research) Master in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Radboud University. During the master's internship she studied neural patterns of swiping movements with fMRI. She was supervised by Pieter Medendorp and Sara Fabbri.
