This department offers a Research Master's programme in Social Cultural Science. Taking a multidisciplinary perspective, the programme is designed for all those who want to understand how society works and why countries differ from each other. The emphasis in this programme is on methodology and research skills.
The Research Master Social Cultural Science trains students to become highly qualified scientific researchers in the field of comparative research on societies by providing a strong theoretical underpinning in the core issues in cross-cultural research, and a thorough practical training in research skills and advanced quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Building upon this theoretical and methodological foundation, the program offers further in-depth training in research in the disciplines of social cultural science. The program contains as main specializations communication science, sociology, cultural anthropology and development studies.
