Research carried out by the department of sociology staff is accommodated by
Radboud Institute for Social and Cultural Research (RSCR).

Scholars at RSCR specifically focus on three research themes:

• inequality
• cohesion
• modernization

To understand the dynamics of societal phenomena and processes, we examine themes from a historical perspective within single societies, in a comparative perspective across different societies and moreover, from a historical perspective in different societies.
