On Tuesday 4 October at 19:30 you can join the online lecture 'Sustainable nutrition'. This lecture is offered as a ticket hour and is given in English. The lecture describes topics in sustainable nutrition such as the carbon footprint of diets, mono/duocropping, animal agriculture, and what we can do to eat a more sustainable diet.
On Wednesday 5 October from 19:00 to 21:00 you can participate in an online workshop 'Positive self-talk'. This workshop in mental sports coaching combines theory with practice, so you will actively get to work with this widely used technique from sports and performance psychology. The workshop is offered as a ticket hour.
We currently offer the trend hour Movement class. During Movement class, your strength, coordination, flexibility, and responsiveness are trained in dynamic situations. You develop a high degree of body control and you learn to move your body as freely as possible in playful and complex movement situations. This trend hour is offered as a ticket hour. You gather in the central hall of the RSC, and from there you go to a suitable place on campus.
For those who can’t find it on our schedule: Barbell workout is the new name of the well-known Power workout. Because a barbell is mainly used during this workout, the name has been adapted to this, but the content is still the same as you are used to. Basic strength exercises for the whole body performed to varied music!
As of this academic year, members of the Radboud Sports Centre will benefit from a nice discount at My PadelClub Nijmegen. If you book a padel court during off-peak hours, as a member of the RSC you will receive a 25% discount on your part of the court! Are you interested in this? There are still people who do not cancel their reservations when they are unable to attend. This results in empty places in fully booked classes and this is unfortunate for others who would have liked to work out! To stimulate proper cancellation of classes, we have a fine system.
