Program for international staff
As its name suggests, the University Chaplaincy is a religious centre on campus for students. But the Chaplaincy is not only open to students: we also welcome members of staff, both Dutch and international.
The Chaplaincy is an open church, which means that we offer activities for a wide range of people. So whether you are a Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, Atheist, or someone with questions about life or faith, you are welcome. The Chaplaincy works from an ecumenical Christian perspective.
You are welcome to pray or light a candle in the Chapel, to meditate and sit quietly in the Meditation Room or the Garden of Silence, or to pray in the Muslim Prayer room (with washing facilities, separate for men and women). The Chaplaincy is open Mondays to Thursdays from 9 am to 5 pm; Fridays 10 am to 3 pm.
