Advent and Christmas 2023
On Sunday November 27 begins the festive season, the liturgical preparation period for Christmas - the birth of the Light of the World, Jesus, Son of God and Son of Mary.
On the first Sunday of Advent (November 27) you can bring your home made ADVENT WREATH to church and Fr. Joseph will bless them all together during Holy Mass at 5 pm.
On the last Sunday of Advent (December 18) you can bring the statue of the BABY JESUS from your home nativity scene for blessing during Holy Mass at 5 pm.
Every Wednesday morning during Advent, at 7.30 am., you're welcome to join Fr. Joseph for a so-called RORATE MESSE, followed by breakfast. This is Morning Prayer as well Holy Mass in the church lit with only candles (see photo below), to make us aware that Jesus came into our world to enlighten our lives. Christmas, Sunday December 25: Holy Mass at 5 pm, Fr. Joseph presiding.
Monday January 1: Holy Mass (Holy Mother of God) at 5 pm, Fr. Joseph presiding.
Sunday January 7: Holy Mass (Epiphany/Twelfth Night/Three King’s Day) at 5 pm, Fr. Joseph presiding. The churchgoers can take blessed chalk back home and a suitable prayer for the home-blessing.
