SABRE hyperpolarisation of organic molecules

In collaboration with the Biophysical Chemistry group of the Institute for Molecules and Materials, we are involved in developing new hyperpolarisation techniques (Signal Amplification By Reversible Exchange, SABRE). These are used to quantitatively detect organic molecules in submicromolar concentrations in complex mixtures.

We focus on the optimisation of NHC-based catalysts, the identification of suitable co-substrate ligands, and the development of new catalytic systems to widen the substrate scope of the technique.
