Internships
We offer students the opportunity to take part in real research within our department in variety of ways. We offer internships for both bachelor and master students, as well as opportunities for a literature thesis. The research page quickly becomes outdated, so to get an overview of the type internships available we recommend you to check what projects our group members are working on. Every PhD and postdoc has a section about what kind of internships they offer, and you can contact them directly (or contact prof. Wilson) if you want to hear more about the possibilities in detail.
Bachelor
Bachelor internships are available for Chemistry, Molecular Life Science and Science students. You will perform research in our group under the supervision of a PhD or Postdoc in a small project of 10 weeks. Students from other Bachelor's programmes or universities who are interested in our research are also welcome to inquire about a possible internship.
Master
Master internships are available for Chemistry, Molecular Life Science and Science students. Most projects will be suitable for those who take the Molecular Chemistry, Chemistry of Life or Medicinal Chemistry specialisation, although we also provide options for the Physical Chemistry specialization. SIS and SMI master students can of course also apply. Students from other Master's programmes or universities who are interested in our research are also welcome to inquire about a possible internship.
Foreign Students
The Systems Chemistry group is open to foreign students who want to do an internship in the Netherlands. Depending on your programme requirements and your personal interests, we can discuss an internship subject. Our working language is English.
HBO Bachelor
Internships are available for students in the field of (Bio)Chemistry. You will perform research in our group under the supervision of a PhD or Postdoc in a project that fits your programme. Students from other Bachelor's programmes who are interested in our research are also welcome to inquire about a possible internship.
Literature Thesis
A variety of topics (Polymer Chemistry, Hydrogels and Systems Chemistry as well as Nanotechnology) are available for Master students who are interested in doing a literature review. We recommend students to contact a PhD or PostDoc directly to ask what current literature thesis topics are available.
