I obtained my BSc in Physics department of Patras, Greece and afterwards I received a M.Eng. in Applied Physics from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). After some years of teaching in Greece, I joined Radboud University in Nijmegen where I did my PhD in Laser Physics & Spectroscopy working on UV Vis spectroscopy, VUV spectroscopy, and Velocity Map Imaging (VMI).
I currently work as a researcher in the Life Science Trace Detection Laboratory. My research is focusing on mass spectrometry (e.g. Proton Transfer Reaction Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry (PTR-Tof-MS), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS)) for life science applications. I am currently involved in the “NUTRISHIELD: Fact-based personalized nutrition for the young” EU project.
