Prestigious Humboldt Award for Prof. Inigo Bocken
Prof. Dr. Inigo Bocken has received a prestigious award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to conduct research at the Freie Universität Berlin with Prof. Georg W. Bertram, Chair of Aesthetics and Theoretical Philosophy. His project is entitled: ‘Art of Practice and Practice of Art: The Meaning of Imagination for Michel de Certeau's Concept of Practice’. This is the second Humboldt award that Prof. Bocken has received.
The Meaning of Imagination
As a world-leading Nicholas of Cusa scholar, Prof. Bocken’s research extends to the areas of Early Modern Philosophy of Religion, Mystical Theology, and the writings of Michel de Certeau. Recently, Prof. Bocken was appointed at the Cusanus Hochschule in addition to teaching at Radboud University as a member of the Center for Catholic Studies and the Director of the Titus Brandsma Institute.
