Joshua Furnal presents research in Austria and USA
On 28 May, Dr. Joshua Furnal was invited to give a guest lecture at the Research Centre “Religion and Transformation in Contemporary Society” based at the University of Vienna. Dr. Furnal presented an overview of his forthcoming monograph, Being before God: Cornelio Fabro’s approach to Kierkegaard’s Theology. The research seminar included a lively group of PhD and MA students supervised by Prof. Kurt Appel, who moderated the session.
On 8 June, Dr. Furnal was invited to give a guest lecture at the Thomas Aquinas Consultation, which met in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania during the 74th annual Catholic Theological Society of America. Dr. Furnal presented Fabro’s approach to Kierkegaard’s theology of creation. The other invited panelists included Prof. Jeremy Wilkins and Ligita Ryliškytė (Boston College) and Prof. Robert St. Hilaire (Niagara University).
