Terms and conditions of use

1. Terms

In these General Terms and Conditions the following terms are used with a capital letter:

General Terms and Conditions: these General Terms and Conditions of Registration and Participation in activities organized by the Institute.

Registration: the message by which the potential participant registers for the activity.

Participant: the natural person who, after registration, follows the activity in question.

Terms apply to both the singular and plural of the defined term. Where these General Terms and Conditions refer to "him" and "his", this should also be taken to mean "her"/"them"/"their".

2. Validity of the General Terms and Conditions

2.1 These General Terms and Conditions apply to the Registration and participation (both digital and physical) in the activity for which Participant registers.

2.2 If any provision or provisions of these General Terms and Conditions are declared invalid by a court judgment, this will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

3. Registration

3.1 In order to be able to participate as a Participant, the potential Participant must submit an application. Registration should preferably be done through the form on the Titus Brandsma Institute website. If you do not have access to the Internet, you can contact the Titus Brandsma Institute secretariat by telephone on 024-3612162. Registrations submitted in any other way will not be processed.

3.2 Applications will be processed in order of receipt.

4. Invoicing, payment

4.1 The Participant will receive an invoice at the address given in the Registration for the amount that is payable for participation according to the price list on the internet/website of the TBI and, if applicable, for the data carrier ordered in the Registration.

4.2 The Participant must pay the invoice within 30 days of the invoice date, or before the date stated in the information relating to the activity.

4.3 Participant shall transfer the amount due to the account number specified on the invoice, stating the payment reference on the invoice.

4.4 If payment is not received, the Participant will be denied access to the activity, this concerns both physical and digital access.

5. Obligations of Titus Brandsma Institute

5.1 Titus Brandsma Institute undertakes to handle all Applications with due diligence.

5.2 The Titus Brandsma Institute will send each participant a confirmation of participation.

6. Participant's obligations

6.1 If participant participates physically, participant has to report on the first day of the activity at the place mentioned in the confirmation of participation letter.

6.2 Participant is obliged to pay the full amount due on or before the due date, as mentioned on the invoice.

7. Intellectual property rights

All intellectual property rights on used course material are and remain with Titus Brandsma Institute or with the owner of the intellectual property right. The Participant may use the course material for the purpose of the activity, but has no right to copy the course material other than for personal use.

Titus Brandsma Institute provides Participant with the right to use the (teaching) material and indemnifies Participant for its use.

It is forbidden to make audio and/or video recordings (including - but not limited to - downloads) during the activity

8. Cancellation

8.1 If the Participant cannot participate in the activity, he must cancel in writing or by e-mail, stating the reason. Written cancellations should be sent to: Titus Brandsma Institute, Attn: Ria Heerema, Erasmusplein 1, 6525 HT Nijmegen. Cancellations by e-mail should be sent to: activiteiten@titusbrandsmainstituut.nl.

8.2 When the participant cancels, the following rule will apply:

8.2.a in case of cancellation less than 31 days before the start: 100% payment of the participation fee;

8.2.b If cancelled more than 31 days before the start, no fee is due

9. General

9.1 The Titus Brandsma Institute publishes these General Terms and Conditions on its website. Titus Brandsma Institute is entitled to change these Terms and Conditions. Amendments will be published on the Titus Brandsma Institute website and will be valid for 3 months after their publication date.

9.2 These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law. The competent court is the Arnhem District Court.
