Tijdschrift: Studies in Spirituality

Het tijdschrift Studies in Spirituality is een internationaal wetenschappelijk forum voor de studie van spiritualiteit. Doel van Studies in Spirituality is het publiceren van wetenschappelijke en specialistische artikelen over spiritualiteit en mystiek. Hiermee het onderzoek naar spiritualiteit stimulerend. Studies in Spirituality kan gezien worden als de weerslag van de actuele wetenschappelijke discussie over spiritualiteit.

Spiritualiteit is een wetenschap met een eigen object van onderzoek en een eigen methodologie. Het spectrum van dit onderzoek is zeer breed: theoretische vragen naar spiritualiteit en mystiek, fundamentele aspecten en fenomenen van spirituele omvorming en belangrijke personen en periodes in de verschillende spirituele tradities.Het vakgebied spiritualiteit staat echter niet op zichzelf, maar beweegt zich in een voortdurend gesprek met andere wetenschappen die bij kunnen dragen in het ophelderen van spirituele vragen en problemen.

Studies in Spirituality (ISSN 0926-6453) wordt door het Titus Brandsma Instituut uitgegeven. De bundel is ongeveer 300 pagina’s dik en verschijnt eens per jaar bij Peeters Publisher’s. Het tijdschrift is ook digitaal verkrijgbaar.
