University of Tartu

The University of Tartu is the oldest and largest higher education institution in Estonia and has been the centre of Estonian academic life for almost four centuries. It is ranked in the top 1.2% of the world's universities making it one of the leading universities in Northern Europe. Here, 13 000 students and 3000 staff members study and work in a diverse range of fields connected by the power of curiosity.
Deadlines for nomination:
Apply for nomination to the International Office Law before 1 March in order to be included in the first nomination round of the next academic year (for both first and second semester exchange) After the first round selection takes place on a 'first come first serve' basis.
(Nomination deadline at the partner: 31 march for semester 1, 15 October for semester 2)
Availability:
Two students per year can go on exchange to University of Tartu for one semester.
Language requirements:
Courses are offered in English. The language requirements are at least B2 level according to the CEFR. No proof is needed.

Accommodation:
University of Tartu has a few dormitories which accommodate international and local students during the school year as well as in the summer for short-term stays. Exchange student can apply for the place in the Student hostel (students who stay in Tartu and Viljandi). Visit the University's website for more information.
