University of Turku

Turku is the oldest and one of the largest cities in Finland. There is much to experience. It is a real student city with an active student community. The university is very compact and easily accessible; located next to the city center and the Aura River. Students describe the campus as: cozy and 'a home away from home'. On foot or by bike, everything in the city is perfectly accessible.

Deadlines for Nomination:
Apply for nomination to the International Office Law before 1 March in order to be included in the first nomination round of the next academic year (for both first and second semester exchange) After the first round selection takes place on a 'first come first serve' basis.

(Nomination deadline at the partner: 15 April for semester 1 and 15 October for semester 2)

Availability:
Each year four students may go on exchange for one semester to the University of Turku.

(Language) Requirements:
English: Minimum level B2. Language certificate from the home university (e.g. Language Assessment Sheet) or e.g. TOEFL or IELTS is required. How to apply?

Courses for Exchange students
Exchange students can enroll in Bachelor as well as Master level courses.

Accommodation:
Students must arrange their own accommodation through student housing; this is generally not difficult and can be done through various (student) housing organizations in conjunction with the university, just make sure to arrange it in time! The demand for student housing in Turku is extremely high. Therefore the university welcomes students to come during Spring semester, since there will be more housing available for exchange students. Read more.
