The Universitetet i Oslo was founded in 1811, making it the oldest university in Norway. The university is one of the largest educational institutions in Norway, counting over 27,000 students, of which about 3,500 study law.

The Faculty of Law is the oldest in Norway and is located in the vibrant center of Oslo, within walking distance of major cultural institutions such as museums, theaters, stores and cafes, but also close to the trendy port area. With the modern public transport you can also easily reach the beautiful Norwegian nature. The surroundings of Oslo offer plenty of opportunities for outdoor sports enthusiasts, both in winter and summer.

Deadlines for nomination:
Apply for nomination to the International Office Law before 1 March in order to be included in the first nomination round of the next academic year (for both first and second semester exchange) After the first round selection takes place on a 'first come first serve' basis.

(Nomination deadline at the partner:  1 May - Semester 1 and 15 October - Semester 2)

Availability:
Each year, four students may go on exchange for one semester to Oslo University.

Language requirements:
The University does not set any formal requirements for the level of English proficiency of exchange students. B2 is the minimum level of English proficiency recommended by the university for taking courses.

Prior to each semester, there is a "Buddy Week" during which students are introduced to the faculty and university.
